Happy Mother’s Day! I hope all you space moms had a wonderful day. I was fortunate to be able to spend the day with my mom and daughter, something I know isn’t possible for many people around the world right now.
My mom has always been incredibly supportive, and now I’m supporting my daughter as she begins her career journey – as an aspiring actress, she spent part of the day on-set filming a scene for a local television series. She grew up with Star Wars, and the leading ladies inspired her to pursue acting – we got to meet Carrie Fisher together a few times. We have both costumed as Princess Leia and Padme’ Amidala so those characters are very special to us both.
