Review – Rebel Scum sweater

While at Celebration Anaheim I was excited to see We Love Fine had released a new women’s Star Wars collection. While I love adding both Imperial and Rebel items to my wardrobe, I am a bit more of a Rebel girl, so I had to buy this Rebel Scum sweater for my collection. I paid US$45 at the convention, which is the same price as on the We Love Fine website.

The sweater is knitted from 100% acrylic, with black raglan sleeves. The text and logo on the front are part of the knit, not printed on like the earlier knitted sweaters from We Love Fine. Also by comparison, this sweater is thinner, not quite as ‘winter weight’ but still warm and soft. This size S sweater measures approximately 47cm across the chest (underarm to underarm), 37cm across the lower hem and 53cm long from front neckline to hem.

I bought mine in size S, as they didn’t have XS on hand and couldn’t confirm for me if they were sold out of XS at the convention, or the sweater didn’t come in size XS. Checking the website, it is listed as available in size XS through to 3XL, which is a little frustrating as I would have bought XS instead. The website size chart for this item only gives measurements for sizes S to 2XL, so I’m not sure how much smaller the XS would be anyway. Interestingly, this size S sweater is actually smaller than my other size XS sweaters from We Love Fine (but I considered those to run a little big). Anyway, I think it’s a great item, and I’m glad to add a Rebel-themed sweater to my wardrobe to balance out my stormtrooper one.
