Review – Mineral wash tee

Recently Junk Food Clothing had a store-wide sale, so I picked up this mineral wash women’s tee. Originally US$42, it’s currently on clearance for US$20 as size xs is the only size left in stock now. They had a code for 30% off, so I only paid US$14 – that’s a great saving off the retail price. With my previous order, I found the size small tops were a little on the larger side, so I felt confident buying the size xs – this style is definitely a looser cut top. It measures approximately 54cm across the chest (underarm to underarm) and 60cm across the lower edge (straight across, side seam to side seam).

Described as a ‘super soft mineral wash tee’ the fabric is 50% cotton, 50% modal, very soft with good stretch. It has a neat back yoke detail, with raw edges on the short sleeves and lower hems. The logo print is very soft and thin, so it doesn’t affect the shirt’s drape. The logo appears grey in the website images, but is actually blue in person, which I prefer. The t-shirt is still available in this size (xs) from Junk Food Clothing. Unfortunately Junk Food Clothing do not ship outside the United States, so international customers (like myself) have to use a mail re-direction service. I really like this top – the soft fabric, raw edges and classic logo give it a great casual vintage look.
