The Force Friday merchandise reveal event brought us an incredible amount of new women’s Star Wars apparel and accessories, and while it was hard to narrow down my shopping list, this Captain Phasma t-shirt was quickly one of my favourites, and one of my first purchases. Part of Hot Topic’s range of Episode 7 apparel, the t-shirt is still available in a range of sizes – priced at US$24.50 (+$2 for 2X, +$4 for 3X).
The women’s white t-shirt features a hi-lo hem, great for wearing with leggings for a bit of extra coverage in the back. The front features a line art print of Captain Phasma – I haven’t found this artwork used on other apparel yet, it is such a great design. The fabric is 65% polyester, 35% rayon – nice and soft with a good drape. I bought mine in size XS – it measures approximately 42cm across the chest (underarm to underarm), 53.5cm from front neckline to front hem, and 77cm from back neckline to back hem. As you can see in my photos the curve of the lower back hem of my shirt is a little uneven, but it isn’t very noticeable when worn. While it’s hard to know who our favourite characters are going to be from a film we haven’t seen yet, it’s pretty unanimous how awesome Captain Phasma’s armour is – so I’m very happy to have her on a t-shirt!
