Paris-based designer Olympia Le-Tan recently teamed up with Star Wars for a clutch collection. Known for her intricately sewn and detailed clutches, the Star Wars range was no different. It included twelve designs, using the covers of classic Marvel-era comics. The collection was available pre-order from February 24th to March 4th, with the orders due to arrive for May 4th. The 100% cotton fabric clutches are in the popular ‘book’ style, and while I love these designs, I sadly (and probably most of us) couldn’t afford the US$$2295 price tag. While some of the comic covers used in Olympia Le-Tan’s collection are well-know and popular, there are some that a little ‘weird’ and lesser known – an odd choice, considering the price tag. In any case, it is interesting to see just how varied the world of Star Wars fashion and accessories has become this past year, with collections like these.
