Based in Brazil, footwear company Melissa launched a collection of women’s Star Wars shoes early last year. I hate missing exciting Star Wars fashion news – but it can be hard to keep up with all the new releases from companies around the world. The licensed Star Wars women’s pvc flats were released along side a collection titled ‘Starwalker’ – a collaboration between Melissa and a range of designers (including Karl Lagerfeld and Vivienne Westwood) to create a collection of Star Wars inspired shoes. While it was hard to see the inspiration for some of the Starwalker collection (I felt the Karl Lagerfeld ‘Soldier’ boots were the closest, with a Stormtrooper inspired design), I love the licensed flats! From what I can find, there were three colours of women’s Star Wars logo flats (white, black, purple) and also black flats featuring Darth Vader. These are something that should be available year-round and world-wide! The Star Wars logo flats are priced at R$140.00 – approximately US$36.71.
