Review – Love And Madness split bangle

Love And Madness x Star Wars split bangle

Today’s review features the Star Wars text split cuff bangle by Love And Madness. I am a huge fan of bracelets, so I’m always excited to add more Star Wars bracelets to my collection. Sometimes all you need is the classic Star Wars logo, and the simple style of this split bangle is a great way of adding a little Star Wars touch to your outfit.

This design is part of the split cuff bangle range available direct from Love And Madness. The bangles are priced at US$18.00 each – Love And Madness can ship internationally, which is great.

The bracelet came packaged in a black satin drawstring bag, with the Star Wars and Love And Madness logos printed in silver on both sides. This is a lovely presentation, perfect for giving as a gift – or as a little treat for yourself! The bangle itself is made from a silver-tone straight edged band, with the text ‘Star Wars’ spaced across the gap.

The Star Wars text is placed at the ends of the split – the words are raised, and appear to be affixed to the band, rather than cast as a whole single item. Black antiquing is used to highlight the text, and a light brushing appears across the rest of the bangle. This gives a neat antique effect, like a vintage item, and reminds me of the ‘used and lived in’ aesthetic of the Star Wars films. This bangle would go so well with a Millennium Falcon or AT-AT themed outfit!

If you prefer solidly shiny jewelry, the gold-tone finish versions of the split bangles do not use black antiquing. I appreciate that Love And Madness give fans options of colours and designs, so you can rock their pieces with your personal style.

The straight edged band measures approximately 4mm tall, and 2mm wide. The bangle circumference is approximately 18.5cm, including opening. The gap between the Star Wars text is approximately 2.5cm (straight across, end to end). The gap is just the right size for getting on your wrist, but not too wide to risk coming off – the band can flex open a little, but still feels sturdy. The space between the Star Wars text isn’t too much, you can still read both words together easily.

The inside of the band features the Love And Madness heart logo, and the standard Lucasfilm copyright mark, noting this is an officially licensed item. These marks are printed, not embossed etc, so the inside of the band is smooth when wearing.

I am a huge fan of bracelets, and I’m excited to see the great range of designs Love And Madness continue to create. This simple bangle style is perfect for just a little touch of Star Wars to an outfit, that won’t overwhelm or draw too much attention. I love wearing a collection of bangles, and this style works so well in a cluster – I’d love to grab a few of the other Love And Madness x Star Wars bangles to wear together!
