Review – women’s socks 5-pack

A little while ago I posted about a new 5-pack of women’s Star Wars socks – I loved the designs so much I had to have them. I first spotted them on SuperHeroStuff (priced at US$14.99) but I purchased these on ebay for US$9.99 – a great price for 5 pairs of socks. The tag confirms they are distributed by HYC, the same company as the Slave Leia socks and Thinkgeek socks.

The socks are 97% polyester, 3% spandex, so they have good stretch. They are labelled as size 4-10, fitting my US women’s size 6 feet perfectly – though I do wonder if they would still fit comfortably on a size 10. Lying flat as they do in the photos, they measure approximately 21cm long, 7.5cm wide at the toe, 8cm wide at the heel. The five pairs each feature a different design, with the set having a distinctly Imperial theme. Darth Vader, Stormtroopers and the Imperial logo are a fun contrast to the bright colours used. The yellow heart on the first pair in the photo below has metallic gold thread, a neat detail. The underside of each sock has ‘(c) 2014 LFL & TM’ stitched into the knit. I love these socks, they make me smile every time I put them on. If you’d like to add them to your wardrobe, they are still available at SuperHeroStuff.
