Today’s review features the C-3PO neckace by Love And Madness. While R2-D2 is a common theme for Star Wars jewelry, his faithful friend often gets a little overlooked, so it’s great to see a necklace featuring just C-3PO. This lovely little gold-tone necklace captures the protocol droid perfectly, and fits in your wardrobe as a wonderful delicate addition to any outfit.
The C-3PO necklace is not currently available on the Love And Madness website, but it is available from Gamestop US for US$6.99 each (ships to US addresses only).

The necklace came packaged in a black satin drawstring bag, with the Star Wars and Love And Madness logos printed in silver on both sides. This is a lovely presentation, perfect for giving as a gift – or as a little treat for yourself! š The necklace itself features a fine gold-tone chain with a pendant of C-3PO’s head. The droid’s facial details are raised, rather than printed or etched – the raised surfaces really catch the light.
The pendant measures approximately 15mm high and 11mm wide (not including hanger ring). The pendant size has a lovely delicate feel to it, not too large or heavy, perfect for those who prefer a more subtle jewelry item. C-3PO is still clearly recognisable, but the smaller size keeps the shiny gold finish from being too overwhelming. The necklace chain is adjustable in length, but not in the usual way – instead of having a short additional length of wider loop chain, this necklace has 5 rings evenly spaced at the end of the necklace chain. This is quite unique, I have never seen this detail on a Star Wars necklace before! The chain between the rings is the same as the necklace chain, so the necklace maintains a lovely fine chain all the way to the end, while still being adjustable.
The end of the chain features a small Star Wars logo pendant. While the end of a necklace isn’t usually very visible when wearing, I always appreciate that little extra detail. The Star Wars pendant measures approximately 18mm by 7mm – the back features the Lucafilm copyright mark.
The back of the C-3PO pendant features the Love And Madness heart logo, and the standard Lucasfilm copyright mark.Ā The clasp also features the Love And Madness heart logo on both sides – they really have put thought and attention to detail into every aspect of this necklace (and all their designs).
The shiny gold-tone finish is perfect for a C-3PO pendant – you really couldn’t choose any otherĀ colour. It is a little hard to capture in photos just how lovely and shiny this necklace is in person! While I often tend towards silver-tone jewelry, you just can’t go wrong with this gorgeous golden C-3PO necklace.
